Mrs. Karen Anderson serves as the first Director of Frederick Douglass Academy Charter Middle School. Karen brings years of educational experience along with a longstanding commitment to South Los Angeles to her new position.

Frederick Douglass Academy Charter School will operate by applying the same rigorous college-prep curriculum, high expectations, and mandated parent involvement that made View Park Prep's 96% African American student population the highest performing in South Los Angeles at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
